Originally from Louisiana, Alice Reed fell in love with the historic charm and strong sense of community in the DC area after moving to Capitol Hill with her husband in 2017. Living in the neighborhood shaped her appreciation for DC’s architecture, neighborhoods, and the relationships that make each one unique — and ultimately inspired her career in real estate.

Now based in Alexandria, Virginia, Alice continues to work extensively throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia. She still enjoys coming into the office near Eastern Market and staying closely connected to Capitol Hill, while also embracing life in Northern Virginia and exploring all that her new area has to offer.

Alice is known for her thoughtful, people-first approach to real estate. She takes pride in truly understanding her clients’ needs and guiding them through each step of the process with clarity, care, and confidence. Her goal is always the same: to help clients feel informed, supported, and excited about where they are headed next.

Outside of work, Alice spends most of her time with her husband and their three young sons — coaching their sports teams, keeping up with their busy schedules, and enjoying local events and time with friends. She values connection, collaboration, and trust, and feels grateful to be part of the close-knit Barley & Barley team, whose community-driven culture mirrors the way she lives and works.
